COVID-19 PANDEMIC

LICENSE TO SELL FIREARMS

 

In order to obtain a License to Sell Firearms you must submit a completed application to the Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office. You can obtain an application online (click here).  

You may mail the completed application to The Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office 48 West Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 OR you may drop off the application in a sealed envelope addressed to the “Sheriff’s Office” in a mail bin at the front lobby of the Courthouse. (If you drop off the envelope at the Courthouse you must wear a mask). The application must accompany a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL).  A License to Sell Firearms is valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.  The following items must be enclosed in the envelope: 

 

1.     Completed License to Sell Firearms Application

2.     A photo copy of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL)

3.     A photo copy of  your valid State issued Photo ID

4.     Check for $57.00 payable to The Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office

 

The processing time may take up to a week depending on the response from the Pennsylvania Firearms Record unit.  Once the application process is complete, you will be contacted to schedule a date and time to pick up your License to Sell Firearm.  For valid Federal Firearms Licensees, to ensure your application is processed in a timely manner, we suggest you submit the application prior to expiration of the license.
