Lycoming County Adopts Updated Emergency Operations Plan

On April 15, 2010, the Lycoming County Commissioners adopted an updated version of the county's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). This plan focuses more on preparing for disasters, not just responding to them. With this new plan, municipalities have the option to adopt the county plan as their own, thus allowing for a more regionalized approach to emergency management, a large component of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Please click the link below to read the new Lycoming County EOP. If your municipality is interested in adopting the county plan, please contact the Lycoming County EMA office at 570-433-4461.
