Interested in Working the Polls

POLL WORKERS WANTED

Lycoming County employs hundreds of election workers at the County's 86 polling places during each spring primary and November election, and the Office of Voter Services welcomes those who are interested in working the polls on Election Day. The staff of every polling place in the County consists of 1 Judge of Elections (elected or appointed by our office), 2 Inspectors of Elections (elected or appointed by our office), 1-2 Clerks (selected by the Judge/Inspectors or by our office), and 1-2 Machine Operators (selected by the Judge/Inspectors or by our office). Since our election worker pool is large, it is not uncommon for circumstances to arise that require the replacement of an election worker on short notice. Our election workers receive a minimum of $100.00 for working each Election Day and $25.00 for annual training.

Please contact the Office of Voter Services at (570) 327-2267 if you are interested in serving as an election worker.
