The Lycoming County Treasurer’s Office serves as the repository for all monies remitted from the various county departments, with all funds kept separate and fully accounted for on a department by department basis. The Treasurer’s Office is also responsible for issuing Dog Licenses, Hunting, Sportsman Permits and Fishing Licenses as well as Small Games of Chance and Bingo Licenses. The Treasurer’s Office is also in charge of collecting the hotel tax in Lycoming County. The Hotel taxes are intended to benefit the Lycoming County Visitor’s Bureau and to promote the tourism industry in Lycoming County.
2013 DOG LICENSE AVAILABLE
BEGINNING DECEMBER 1, 2012
State Law requires that all dogs three months and older be licensed by January 1st of each year. The maximum fine per violation of the licensing requirement and rabies law is $300.00.

The yearly licensing fee is $8.45 or $6.45 for each spayed or neutered dog. Senior Citizens and persons with disabilities may purchase a license for $6.45 or $4.45 for each spayed and neutered dog.
According to officials with the Dept. of Agriculture's Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement, ensuring dogs are licensed and up-to-date with vaccinations is the surest way to keep pets safe and healthy.
ATTENTION SMALL GAMES OF CHANCE LICENSE HOLDERS
The Local Options Small Games of Chance Law, known as Act 2 of 2012 became effective March 3, 2012. An officer of your organization should download or otherwise obtain a copy of Act 2 of 2012 to be kept with the organization’s permanent records. Your organization should also contact your legal counsel to determine how this Act affects your organization.
With each license application, all organizations will be required to submit a copy of a criminal records background check from the PA State Police for the organization’s Executive Director or President and Secretary as required by the Department of Revenue. Organizations may contact any county PA State Police Headquarters to apply, or click HERE for quick & easy on-line access.
The fees for completing the background checks are paid to the PA State Police.

The County Treasurer’s Office is charged with the issuance of Small Games of Chance Licenses, Special Raffle Licenses and Bingo Licenses for Lycoming County.
